Differences and Similarities
The similarities between the human eye and the eagle eye is that they both look about the same size (but full grown bald eagle can weigh 14 pounds!) They both have a cornea, this is to let them both be able to see. They both have the same nerves in the eye; the same nerves that react when something unwanted touches the eye. The both has the basic needs to protect the eye, like eyelashes, and eyelids, but the eagles don't have eyebrows because they have feathers covering there face. Both can change the shape of their lens. Both have rods and cones, and are used for the same reason. Both iris’ have the same job: to control the amount of light that shines into your retina.
The differences are that humans can’t change the shape of their cornea while eagles can. Eagles have more rods and cones than the human eye. If the eye has a myopia, they can wear glasses. Myopia is not being able to see far. But if the eagle has vision less than perfect, that could affect their hunting which leads to starving and dying. The sclera is always a yellow color but a human sclera is white. Although the sizes are about the same, the back of the eyeball is flatter in the eagle eye where the human eye has a round backside.
