Fun Facts!

  • There are many different species of eagles. There are almost 60!

  • Eagles, originally, lay two eggs but the older out of the two usally kills its younger sibling.

  • Golden Eagles from Greece, eat turtles. They crack their shells by flying high then dropping them on rocks.

  • The Philippine and the Harpy eagle both have wings that spread to 2.5m across. They also use their talons to kill preys the size of deers or monkeys.

  • Eagles are known to be living symbols of freedom and power.

  • In some religions, eagles that soared the sky high above are believe to touch the face of God.

  • Wherever the eagle landed, was dedicated to where the Aztecs should make their cities.
